Detective Quakers
The Adventures of Detective Quackers is a children’s graphic novel I self-published in 2018. It follows the adventures of a duck detective named Quackers and his sidekick Eggshell. This project started in 2016 as an assignment to create a series of posters, that I later expanded into a self-published graphic novel. I have revisited this project overtime for 6 years, each time improving the work I previously created.

As part of my coursework in college, I was required to create a series of posters. I knew I wanted it to be targeted to a younger audience but I didn’t know who I wanted my characters to be. To get some inspiration, I decided to start sketching different concepts.

As I brainstormed ideas, I started drawing my favorite animal, a duck. Because I was also in a detective fiction class that semester, I kept thinking about mysteries and detectives constantly. It was these thoughts in my head that led to the creation of Detective Quackers. As my designs and ideas evolve, I eventually came up with a sidekick named Eggshell and a villain
